Contract with Infrastructure BC to manage the process of finding a design / builder. Information will be available on their website once our contracts are in place https://www.infrastructurebc.com/. We hope to enter into a contract with Infrastructure BC as soon as the Agreement with the Ministry is finalized.

As well, Mayor Paul Horn, Mission BC and Mission Council, School District staff, the City of Mission, and local First Nations community members were on hand to support.

Fall 2023: All requested documents have been in order and submitted to the Ministry of Education and Childcare within the requested timeframe. We are waiting for the next steps and funding from the Treasury Board.
Senior staff have engaged the consultants who have been previously involved in preparing supporting documentation for the project. The consultants have been provided with an aggressive timeline to prepare the Project Definition Report (PDR). The report will define the scope and scale of the project and is anticipated to be finalized by September. Once it is finalized, the school district will submit it to the ministry (ahead of the provincial election).

École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageA second invitation was sent to Premier Horgan and Minister Fleming to tour Mission Secondary. October 2019 Minister Fleming tours Mission Secondary.

École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageThe Ministry approved a seismic upgrade project review for Mission Secondary. A project design review was presented to the Board.

École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageThe Board receives a letter from Minister Whiteside about the replacement of Mission Secondary.

École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageThe Board issued a letter to Premier Eby about the replacement of Mission Secondary. On March 10th, 2023 MLA Alexis and MLA D'Eith announced funding to replace Mission Secondary.

September 2023
École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageThe consultants will present a Project Design Review (PDR) report to the Board which will then be submitted to the Ministry for review and approval.

October 2023
École Mission Senior Secondary Replacement has finished this stageThe report was drafted, revised, and submitted in consultation with the project team, School District staff, and the Ministry of Education. The PDR outlines the need for a replacement school, along with a funding request. In early October, a final version was submitted for official review by various departments within the provincial government. We anticipate a response in the upcoming months as the government prepares to update its budget in the Spring 2024.
