Mission Public Schools is seeking:

  1. Information about barriers found in and around our buildings.

The Accessibility Committee application process is now closed. Communication has been issued to all applicants. We would like to thank everyone for expressing interest and taking the time to apply.

  • We want to know the specific barriers people with disabilities face when they are trying to:

    • Access a school district program, building or information
    • Receive a service or support

    Use this form to describe experiences, and make recommendations on how barriers can be removed or improved upon.

    The Mission Public Schools Accessibility Committee will have 5-10 members picked by the Superintendent of Schools and/or Director of Instruction for student services, with at least one member who self-identifies as having Indigenous ancestry. Membership will follow the structure outlined in the Accessible British Columbia Act. At least half the committee will include:

    • People with children or youth in MPSD with current or emergent considerations related to disability and accessibility, and/or
    • People who work or volunteer for MPSD, and/or
    • People with disabilities, and/or
    • People or organizations that support people with disabilities


    The committee will meet at least four times a year for half-day to full-day meetings. Please contact Carolynn at carolynn.schmor@mpsd.ca if you:

    • wish to submit an application in an alternative format,
    • have any questions, or
    • require support to apply
