Consultation has concluded
The Ministry of Education and Child Care recently announced a one-time fund of $60 million dollars to support families affected by rising costs of living due to global inflation. Mission Public Schools has received $689,814 in funding.
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to families with back-to-school costs such as fees, supplies, meal programs and other school-related costs.
Over the next few weeks, Mission Public Schools will be consulting with staff, district and parent advisory councils, Indigenous rights holders, and other stakeholders to determine how the funding can best support our students and families.

Families are encouraged to reach out to their school principal if they are in need of assistance with school supplies, fees or other school-related costs. All requests will be treated confidentially. We want to work with our families to ensure that students have what they need in order to be successful at school. Please use this engagement tool to provide us with your thoughts and ideas.
