As per previous board direction, staff have been working on updating policies and procedures.

The below listed policies have been uploaded into the Documents section on the right for you to review: Please read them carefully and leave us your comments, and/or suggestions as feedback.

Policy 2.0 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Policy 3.0 Safe, Caring and Respectful Schools

The Assistant Superintendent led the development of this policy. Principals, VPs, Indigenous department, 4 student forums, Safe Schools liaison, and the mentor teacher group all provided input along the way. We introduced more restorative practices, and how we move on and learn from what happens. Repairing relationships after students come back to school is integral. This policy has 2 procedures to go with it. 1 - According to the School Act, every school needs to have a Code of Conduct, and the AP will guide having an effective Code. The 2nd administrative procedure will be the direction for staff.
