Thank you for the work you have done on the new website. Here are my thoughts:
-I do not believe the Indigenous Land recognition should be at the VERY bottom. In the spirit of Truth and Recognition, it should be first.
-I do not see an icon for Learn 75 at the top. Will this be added? I see a link, 2 to the right from the search bar, but this is not as accessible as it used to be.
-I love that there is a link to the social media pages right at the top. I am happy to see YouTube right there for easy access.
-Love that the languages are right there and that the Accessibility Tool (not currently working) and the ERASE Tool (not currently working) is right there, but is the first thing we should see the donate button? We are a public school, publicly funded, and while donations are appreciated, it is not the first thing we should see on our website... even before you see the Indigenous Land acknowledgement. It is there twice, right at the top of the page.
-Wow! I was shocked to see this: "Overall participation in the FSA has declined due to messaging from the BCTF province-wide, and COVID has also discouraged participation. The data is still utilized at both the District and Provincial level for evidence-based decision making, and it continues to be reported home to parents." Data is sold! To other countries and to corporations like the RBC and Realty companies who make cash for kids. The FSA's hurt children and do not benefit them in any way. It is a colonial tool designed to cause them stress and keep the Indigenous kids at the bottom, as the entire test is not based on relevant information for them (look at Indigenous ways of knowing and being). This test is ultimately a colonial extension of residential school. The website then reports: "with the most important measures being those described on your child’s report card." This is misleading, as parents will think it is tied to pass or fail. The FSA has zero bearing on the report card.
-Could we please have a button at the top for SOGI information. Right beside the Accessibility and ERASE Tools would be great. It is kind of hidden way at the bottom of the parent list. Also, there should be a link for SOGI information under the student tab, but it is not linked there. When you click and go into the student section, there is no SOGI information listed throughout the page at all.
-Love that there will be an app for us t have on our phones. I wish MyEd would create an app too :)
-Great section for Technology and I love all the printable posters.
-Great pic of the board office, under "Contact Us"... very inclusive and accessible.
-When you click on the form for making a donation, all the schools are listed, as is Feeding Futures, but Siwal Si'wes is listed as Indigenous Education Department. Can the Indigenous department please be listed as "Siwal Si'wes Indigenous Education Department" as a program for donation?
-Three links under Careers are not working- Moving to BC, External Postings, and Applying for a BC Teaching Certificate
-Great idea to have links to policies and procedures under the "Bullying" section. Can we please also link the SOGI policy here.
-When you click on Board of Trustees, in the flow Chart/Organizational Chart," it shows the Principals/Vice Principals for the district, not the trustees.
-Do we have a FIPPA Officer? Or is it Angus? Who is in charge of this at the Board office, as a Manager/Admin is not listed.

Again, thank you for all the work that has been done for the Website. These are some questions and suggestions as we head into this new site. I believe we have an opportunity to fix some of these issues with this big switch.

I like the look of the new website.

I did a quick search of two areas I used a lot on the previous website and was not able to find:
BAA courses (the list of all we offer with the curriculums attached)
The field trip "checklists" that were on our website before
